Death / not forgotten

Remembering Thomas Sankara

‪#‎ThomasSankara‬ seized power 32 years ago today from the dirty fRench colonial powers. Leader of the Burkinabe revolution, he was the President of Burkina Faso, when he was killed by the french via Blaise Compaoré (overthrown a few months ago).

Thomas Sankara was a strong anti-imperialist, notably refusing to pay Burkina’s illegitimate debt to fRance. He is also remembered as a great ally to women, both in words and in deeds.

Rest in Power.
